Something less fishy
Okay,
Instead of killing this post entirely, I'm just killing the text so that the comments from Conservative Edge and Ky Progess can stay.
The story is, I read both their blogs and found cross-posting once or twice or three times... enough times to raise an eyebrow. Why were these two blogs posting identical content?
Turns out that Ky Progress cross-posts to the Edge. That's fine. But for the record, I had no way of knowing this because Ky Progress posts anonymously, so I couldn't track who posted what to where and when.
So, I'm not turning over rocks looking for conspiracies. I'm just paying attention and asking questions.

You have a great site. Keep up the good work. We are going to link to you from CE.
The reason for the same posts appearing at KY Progress site and ours, is that David Adams runs KY Progress and contributes to the CE.
We do run press releases from the Governor's office, although not all of their press releases. We do this to get the information out to the public. We are also republicans, so we do have similiar perspectives as party leaders.
But, we are not a pr firm for Governor Fletcher or the GOP. I will be posting a highly critical piece on President Bush and the GOP congress later today. I have already shared my displeasure with both via an e-mail to the White House.
In general, we are entering a new age of printed information dissemination, and the rules are evolving. I for one, will be interested to see how it shakes out, with the caveat, that it may always be shaking out. Our world is changing at an ever increasing pace.
Tge term news may become arcane, as the sheer volume of information, and protals for the release of information changes. That's because the people who decide what information is "news" has expanded exponetially with the advent of blogging. What we will dela with eventually is just "important information"

Sorry for all the typos
I'm really sorry to have caused you to go through these posts counting words and thinking conspiracy. Should have just sent me an email. We are experimenting with different marketing techniques, that's all. There is a business model buried in here someplace, as well as (as Brian suggested) a new paradigm in mass communications.

I'll look into the Google cache and see if I can find the original post. I have no problem letting it hang out there. Not ashamed of it, which is why I left this comment string.
